Both Leonard and Hannah were members of the Gunpowder Quaker Meeting, but they were married by an Anglican Priest and disowned in Quaker records. Brothers Richard and Jeremiah Belt were censured in Gunpowder Meeting for countenancing the marriage of Leonard and Hannah.
Leonard was not in his father's will dated 24 Sep 1788. Perhaps from the time of the 1783 conveyance son Leonard may have been disowned for marrying contrary to discipline ?
Leonard's will was written Jan 25, 1808, proved March 2, 1808, so died in 1808. Hannah and son Leonard were executors. All real and personal property was given to sons Leonard and Mordecai Belt.
